KEEPING YOUR HEART HEALTHY
Heart disease is the leading cause of death among both men and women in the United States. Every year, 1 in 4 deaths are caused by heart disease.
Here are some steps to take to help prevent you or a loved one from becoming another statistic.
- Ask your doctor what your blood pressure should be. People with high blood pressure are four times more likely to die from a stroke and three times more likely to die from heart disease.
- If you smoke- QUIT!! Smoking is not only a risk factor for cancer, but for heart disease as well.
- Eat healthy- Eat healthy balanced diets and reduce sodium intake.
- Exercise- Walking everyday can make a huge difference in heart disease and overall health.
