How To Combat Cold/Flu Season
January is right in the middle of cold and flu season. The holidays are over and we all are probably running on fumes so here are a few tips on how to take care of yourself during cold/flu season.
Get plenty of rest!
Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate.
WASH YOUR HANDS
Keep your work areas clean (i.e. using Lysol or other cleaners to cut down on the spread of germs)
Vitamins are extra important during this time. May need to increase your vitamin intake.
Get your flu shot
There are several over the counter remedies for the common cold (NOT the flu). Examples: NyQuil, ColdCalm, and using a NetiPot for congestion.
If you think you may have the flu or have been exposed to the flu try to get to your doctor or a walk-in clinic as soon as possible. Remember to WASH YOUR HANDS, get plenty of rest and keep your work area as clean as possible!
